The speaker management processor provides all of the tools needed to be able to perform cross-over duties as well as correct, align and set up loudspeaker system in a particular room. These tools are all in one box and generally have clean, computer based user interfaces to manage the many settings. In years past, this would have been a collection of three or four boxes, all doing their work in the analog domain. Today, it is all integrated in one box and all processing is done by powerful DSPs. It is capable to provide sophisticated crossover solutions and can do two-way or three-way and any other possible configuration. The crossover types and slopes are all selectable, with full support of high-order crossovers (up to 48db/Octave). This allows to have some clean cutoffs between woofer and panels if desired. Additionally, these devices are sophisticated parametric equalizers, with EQ on both the inputs and for each individual output. This allows exact corrections for each driver in the system as well as overall tonal balance or room driven adjustments. One of the most important tools is delay time and phase controls. As time aligning drivers within a speaker is critical, as is time and phase aligning speakers to each other. In addition it provides gain management on each input and output to ensure the correct volume balance across the speaker. Finally, it offers limiter to protect the speaker from damage when the amplifier is being used at high levels. || DPA3655QRT is a high performance 3-IN/6-OUT digital speaker management system. Designed for maximum versatility, it provides all the processing and control necessary for both live and fixed installation use. Providing for any crossover configuration, it offers 3 analog inputs, 6 analog outputs and a digital S/PDIF input, managed by a powerful DSP Engine, in addition to high performance 24Bit AD/DA Converters. Each input channel provides a choice of EQ with 5-band Parametric equalization, Gain control and configurable Delay. Each output offers up to 5-band of parametric equalization, in addition to the crossover filters which themselves provide slopes from dB/Octave up to 24dB/Octave. Each output path also features RMS Compressor, Peak Limiter and configurable Delay. The DPA3655QRT supports a full matrix mixing mode where inputs may be routed/mixed in any ratio to any output. or remote configuration and control the DPA3655QRT can be connected via USB or Ethernet. The control remote PC software allows simultaneous control up to 32 units, setting all parameters and showing real time levels.
