The Meinl Traditional Aluminum Caixa is a classic Samba instrument. This snare-type drum is played with sticks and features synthetic heads for bright, penetrating tones and cutting rim shots. The Caixa’s role is to be played as a fast and high counterpoint line to the deeper Surdos and middle range Repenique. The Meinl Traditional Aluminum Caixa has an extra deep shell for a full sound.
